Chilean volcano Puyehue has erupted once again generating more disruption at Jorge Newbery Metropolitan Airport and Ezeiza International Airport. According to La Nación, 57 flights have been cancelled or delayed so far, although this number may increase.
The most affected domestic destinations were Bahia Blanca, Neuquén, Rio Grande and Iguazú Falls. International departures have also been cancelled, including Montevideo, Santiago de Chile and Rio de Janeiro.
Aerolíneas Argentinas reported that all flights to San Martin de los Andes (Neuquén) will be cancelled until 1 November.
Puyehue volcano ash clouds also caused chaos earlier this year in June and July, even affecting Australian air space.
