Eight people died and 13 were wounded in a fatal car accident last night, when a truck hit a van. The deceased have been identified as five children returning from a sports event, two mothers, and the driver.
The director of emergency services, Adrian Tarditti, stated that out of the wounded, two adults are “in a critical condition.”
The incident occurred on Route 7, 20km from Chacabuco, province of Buenos Aires. Traffic has been diverted on to Route 8.
One of the busiest motorways in the country, Route 7 has been criticised for being dangerous at night.
It has been barely 24 hours since a fatal car accident in Zanjitas, San Luis, where a train colliding with a van killed eight children and teachers.
