Messi: “We Start With a Very Difficult Opponent”

Lionel Messi arrived in Argentina today to join the national football team in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers. Argentina will be playing against Chile on Friday, a game that is believed to be tough and demanding for the Argentine team.

The team captain stood in front of photographers and journalists at Ezeiza international airport and stated: “We all know what Chile is like. It’s a team that likes to put us under pressure. They play faster when they have the ball. When they are losing, they try to recover fast and asphyxiate you. So it’s going to be a very tough match.”

The Barcelona player also warned that the national team “still has a lot of work” ahead. The game will be held on Friday at 8.10pm at El Monumental stadium.
