Event: Celebrate the Women of Mexican Cinema

Date: Friday 22 June 2012, 15:00

The 1930s and 40s are sometimes referred to as the Golden Years of Mexican cinema and what better way to pay homage than to see some golden goddesses on the silver-screen?

In collaboration with the Mexican Embassy, the Centro Cultural General San Martin (Sarmiento 1551) is showing six films from 22 June to 24 June to honour some leading ladies. With different show times throughout the weekend, check out the centre’s website for a schedule. It’s $20 to get in, but a great way to spend an autumnal evening.
