On 28th June, the Honduran president, Manuel Zelaya was woken up by 200 soldiers of his own army and was forced into exile in Costa Rica. Zelaya had that day planned to hold a non-binding consultation to ask people whether they supported moves to change the constitution.

The first Saturday of Spring (26th September) in Parque Centenario, Villa Crespo was welcomed by a day-long festival of music, arts and circus skills and culminating in an open air cinema screening, courtesy of arts collectives Comando Furgoneta and Cine Libre Parque Abierto.

Anybody who speaks a second language will tell you that chatting with a native person in the best way to learn. However, finding a native speaker is not always easy, and how do you know if they are normal and easy to hold a conversation with? For a year, Spanglish has been resolving many of these problems for English and Spanish speakers who want to practise.

Today, the British Embassy hosted the 12th Martin Gavie Trophy, a singing competition organised by the English Speaking Union (ESU). Seventeen schools were invited to the competition and each of them was represented by one of their pupils aged between 16 and 17 years old. Participants had to prepare two songs in English of their choice. After having heard the seventeen songs, judges had to deliberate and choose five performers to sing their second song.
