Put on your dancing shoes and get yourself to Club Cultural Matienzo for a bit of pop/rock/indie mix. DJ Panki and DJ Facu Lozano wil be playing masters of music. Matienzo 2424 and Av. Cabildo. Admission is $10, and getting there before midnight might make you appear a little overkeen.

Better known for cocktails and cerveza, the bars of Plaza Serrano are transformed into boutiques on Saturday afternoons.  Local designers fill dancefloors with clothes and accessories, leaving just enough tables free for you to enjoy lunch.

The Roxy club (Av. Casares and Sarmiento) hosts its weekly night of classics, blending Elvis with AC-DC and The Who, amongst others. Faena Hotel and Universe are inviting you to celebrate Carnaval in style. Starting at 8pm at the “Pool Bar” with fireworks and tropical music from the group “Electroarte”, you can partake in revelling until 11.30pm, when group “Los Labios” will take over the show. The night ends (or begins) with live music from talented DJs shaking up the dance floor, where you can dance until the dawn. Roxana Amed, an exciting talent, is playing at Notorious this weekend. With her intense poetry and finesse of her compositions you will be haunted by her voice. Before the release of her two CDs with Sony Music in April, Amed is offering this concert with songs from her first two discs; “Limbo” and “Entremundos”. Expat Connection is hosting a once in a lifetime experience trip to Gualeguaychú Carnaval ’09. They’ll be departing at 11am from Palermo and arriving in Gualeguaychú in the mid-afternoon. The day includes dinner, a city tour and entrance to the corsódromo to take in all the action, before arriving back in BA in the morning. Space is limited and RSVP and deposit are required.
