Video: AfroSound Gospel Choir

Every Tuesday evening the AfroSound choir comes together to sing African-American songs of praise in English.

Choir director Caterina Finocchi and her mother Claudia Tapia, executive producer and vocal coach, opened the choir at the beginning of 2012 on a mission to continue spreading the message and sound of gospel music in Buenos Aires.

The group is made up of 60 amateur and professional singers of all ages, who come from all walks of life.

Some had been members of the former Coro Gospel de Argentina, while others discovered gospel music and decided to put themselves forward for auditions, which took place at the beginning of the year.

The choir doesn’t belong to a specific church or necessarily enforce that their members be religious or believe in God, but does however, have many believers in the group. This is a fantastic group to watch, that has a pure and soulful sound.
